Processor modules for A2 controller are improved with the development of PC technology and always have the actual processors and memory. Processor module consists of three circuit boards:

  • ETX module - contains a processor, chipset and memory

  • ETX support - where are the USB ports, LAN, PS / 2, and ISA CMOS battery

  • HDD bracket - where there is a HDD, CompactFlash, COM port, isolated RS422 and RS485

Thanks to this arrangement, the processor module format remains the same regardless of the current configuration.

Each processor module has the following peripherals:

  • 4 USB ports

  • 10/100Mb/s LAN

  • PS / 2 ports for mouse and keyboard

  • VGA

  • 2 COM ports, one of which can be RS422/485 port

  • CompactFlash slot                                                                                                                                                                                      
     

Processor module, like all other modules, is a vertically oriented, which means that the natural circulation of air (warm air moving upward) facilitates cooling modules. Therefore modules with low consumption (low power) does not require forced cooling fan.

High performance processor modules require forced cooling, but the fan does not have to constantly work at higher power. That's why we created a system to control the fan, which reduces engine speed when there is no need for increased cooling. In this way dramatically extends fan life and reduces the possibility of cancellation.

 The following processor modules are actual:

 

 

A2-55-PC C2D Core 2 Duo processor module with i945GM chipset and 1 - 2GB DDR2 RAM. CPU module for demanding applications. Allows the user a large number of operations per second and quickly calculate the required calculations in industrial systems for measurement and control.

Requires active cooling (fan), but thanks to a large cooler, can operate from 1 / 2 to several hours with no fan, depending on the ambient temperature.

The integrated graphics supports resolutions up to 2048x1536 and 3D acceleration required for the Aero interface.

Support for IDE (PATA) and SATA2 hard drives and SSDs. CompactFlash is connected to IDE primary  slave, but you can adjust it to be a master.

Bilateral buffers are set to the ISA bus so one processor could communicate with up to 20 I / O modules
A2-55-PC A1.6 Intel ATOM processor with 1GB memory module.

This module can operate without forced cooling due to the vertical orientation of A2 controller that facilitates natural air circulation. It is exceptional in applications where the maximum of processor power is not necessary, but require high reliability.

The graphics supports HD
resolution D acceleration required for the Aero interface.

Support for IDE (PATA) and SATA2 hard drives and SSDs. CompactFlash is connected to the primary IDE slave, but you can adjust it to be a master.
